This exceptional tea is cultivated in an ecologically pocket of southwestern Sichuan province, nestled at an elevation of 1,200 feet above sea level. The leafy tea garden that yields this prized harvest was first established over half a century ago, when the original tea trees were painstakingly propagated from seed.
Today, the very same lineage of ancestral tea plants are tenderly tended by the current generation - the grandson of the tea growers who first nurtured this plot. Honouring the wisdom and stewardship of their forebears, no chemical pesticides or artificial fertilizers are employed here. Instead, the tea trees have naturally adapted to their idyllic mountain habitat, their innate resilience making them unaffected by harmful pests and plant maladies.
