The process of creating premium Jasmine tea begins with hand-rolling fresh green tea leaves into small pearls. These pearls are then carefully wrapped in paper and left to dry.
Once dried and unwrapped, the tea pearls are set aside until the summer bloom of Jasmine flowers. During this time, workers meticulously place fresh Jasmine blossoms on top of the tea. The flowers are allowed to infuse the tea with their delicate aroma over a period of time. Afterwards, the workers remove the Jasmine flowers by hand, and the process is repeated with a new batch of fresh flowers - this infusion cycle occurs a total of six times to create the finest Jasmine tea.
As a result of this labour-intensive process, the once tightly-rolled tea pearls unravel into long, lush buds. When steeped, these buds release a fresh, harmonious Jasmine flavour.
